activate game object problem [SOLVED]

Hello,

This should be a really easy issue, but I can't figure it out. For some reason when I use the activate game object action in the first state and its set to off, it seems to disable the entire FSM, instead of turning the single game object off. This is not what was happening in the tutorials online, they just went to that state and didn't disable the whole thing. Not sure why it is doing this. Thanks!

I actually figured it out. Had to use parenting. Sorry for the impulse post. :)
