Animation overriding "Mouse Look" FSM
« on: March 22, 2021, 09:48:35 PM »
So I've got a FPS with a camera attached to the head bone of the character.  I took the head bone, and added an FSM with a "mouse look" action.  In other words the head and the camera follow the mouse and it works great, until I add on an animation to the character.  All of my movements are based on Mecanim root animation movements, I masked out the head to prevent an override and it still locks the head in a forward position.  As this is a multiplayer FPS it would be great to see where the opponent or team members are looking in other words as you look at friends or enemies you can see the head rotate as they scan the area.  I know I can just detach the camera and rotate it, but this ads a touch of realism that would be nice.  Any ideas?
