Design Question: Game simulated time

Hello,


I am a little stuck on this design aspect.


For a broad description, I have been developing a factory sim.

Game time operates in financial quarters of a year.

How long should each quarter be in real-time minutes?


It might seem like a simple thing to be stuck on. I'm a little concerned I cant see the forest for the trees right now.

Hi.
That's very depending on your game.

Best thing to do is to play test other simulation games, even they are not the same as your.
For example a theme park sim, sim city, etc.
