GUI Button Woe
« on: February 03, 2013, 01:44:46 AM »
So I've got a bit of a problem. Everything I've done so far with creating a game has gone fine. Players can run and jump, levels can be beaten or lost and sound is played when it's meant to be played.

Two of my current troubles are save states (something I think I might have cracked, not sure) and custom buttons. It's the buttons I'm struggling with.

No matter what I do or where I look I can't find any method to changing the style of the buttons that appear in game - they're always gray boxes. Putting images in them works fine, but that grey box still lingers around it.

I've done a few searches on this forum and found nothing that explains a solution to the problem I have. Right now all I can think is that this means this is an easy problem and I should feel ashamed for not being able to work it out myself, or that it's a common problem and I should feel ashamed for not being able to work a forum search.

I'd appreciate any help you all can offer on either point...

Are you using the unity GUI, if so what version of unity?

if not what plugin are you using for your gui?
