Making a "launch" game

Hey guys. I had a question about launch games. The kind on Kongregate, you know. You launch and then you gain money to buy upgrades. What do you think would be the best way to set this up with playmaker? In the sense of 2D, etc. It might be a challenge in Unity, but I think it'd be rather could to have a 2.5D launch game to really get people into Unity. Any thoughts?
