Can you combine 2 Substance sliders into 1 slider?
« on: October 04, 2013, 01:27:25 PM »
I have a Substance that has multiple sliders to control various effects. Can you use Playmaker to combine 2 Substance sliders into one? If so, how?

Thanks.

Hi,

ok, first have you spotted that there are actions to do control substnace material properties?

"set Procedural Boolean"
"set Procedural Color"
"set Procedural Float"

with this can combine two sliders into one and control two properties with one slider.

If you struggle with setting up two sliders in one, let me know.

bye,

 Jean

Hi,

You have to use "Rebuild Textures" for effect to become effective. As modifying substances material is very costly, you have to manually refresh as well.

I got it to work, but it sets all my Substance exposed properties to the same value upon Playing the scene. Is there a way to have all my Substance properties to start at different values or the starting values likes in my Substance?

Even the non-exposed parameters within my Substance change as well.

Hi,

Odd, it's not what I had during my tests. I'll try to replicate.
