[mobile] Pro Carrom Light
« on: May 29, 2013, 05:39:12 AM »
I am very happy to announce that my very first game is nearly finished: "Pro Carrom Light"

This is my first project with Unity and its entirely made with Playmaker.
Playmaker helped me a ton to get the grips in Unity. Thank you, Alex and Jean!

The Game is now in Beta testing and is mainly targeted for Android and iOS

Try the Web Player:
Pro Carrom Light
(Use Escape to go back in the Menus, or to go into the Settings while playing)

I'm very interested in your Feedback!

Hi,

Really well done! I like the camera work when choosing the angle of fire, really nice.

The help section is also very good, this is very important and you've done it very well.

I totally see this as an mobile game especially on IPad and such.

Just for the sake of critics, few things:

-- Fonts could be nicer, with some fancy outlines, shadows and gradient, just for effect really.

-- more visual feedback on what is happening during a shot, like zoom on winning points and stuff like that.

All the best with this!

Bye,

 Jean

I think I broke it?!

The camera pivots around where the puck use to be and it just keeps saying Don't touch the chips .... Hmm. I'm sure your Beta testers will catch this.

@ Jean:
thanks for the kind words, very much appreciated!

Fonts:
It took me quiet a while to understand the different GUI concepts. I decided to use GUItext for most of the game. I couldnt find a way to make it more fancy with GUItext (outlines, shadows) so i stick to the "plain" look...

Visual Feedback:
Yeah, thats definitley something i would like to add! But i ran out of time so i decided to keep that for an updated "Deluxe" version.

@ LampRabbit
I could reproduce the bug. I updated the Webplayer. Should be gone now, "hopefully" :P . Thanks for testing!

Absolutely awesome. This would be a big hit. :D

Another thing, I was wondering if the strikers could be hit with fingers and touch events. Just like the real thing.

Tanks Flying Robot,

"Shooting by touch" will be something for a future update. I already have some ideas for a concept. For now it was more important to me, to have accurate aiming, over a more "realistic" shoot simulation...
