Best way to do a retro in-game computer menu
« on: August 09, 2013, 01:32:47 PM »
Hi - I am doing a retro style shooter and want to add an in-game computer terminal that brings up a menu with info on enemies, guns, etc...

Ideally with a glowing teletype style effect.

Similar to this (from Alien Breed) - watch from 3:30...

Any advice on the best way to implement this using Playmaker?

Hi,

apart from the visual styling, which is really a amtter of getting the right font and camera effects and all, I guess your question is how to do a typewriter effect right?

using hotween, you can tween a string, so it appears it's manually typed, one character at a time.
