Playmaker import and update questions
« on: September 11, 2013, 07:15:46 PM »
I got my Playmaker straight from hutongames.com so I'm not sure what's going on. I just barely got through the beginners tutorials.

First, how can I update Playmaker from Unity Assets store if I'd bought this from the hutongames website?

Second, do I have to import Playmaker every single time I create a new project in Unity? Isn't there a way to autoload it in every single project I create? Kinda like Maya's plugins folder?

Thanks,

spiral

Hi, if you buy from hutonggames.com, you can download the newest version using the download link you got with your purchase. If the link doesn't work for some reason, please email info@hutonggames.com with your order info and we'll renew the link.

Unity doesn't have an autoload or global plugins folder. It would be nice :)

You can however copy the Playmaker unitypackage to the standard packages folder so it will be in the new project dialog and import packages menu:

Windows: [Program Files]\Unity\Editor\Standard Packages
OS X: /Applications/Unity/Standard Packages
