Photon First Person version
« on: September 13, 2013, 05:00:45 PM »
I have alwasy thought that my game would be First Person.
But obviously my online friends (or enemies) in a Photon Networking game are third person, and require bodies and animations.

So building up my game using the demo as a starting point, I now come to what I thought would be easy.

Just that when I get to where I spawn the characters, I was going to do a Photon View Get is Mine, and if no, give them the third person controller, if yes, spawn my first person controller.

The problem with this, is that your YOUR character is sending its animations out to be viewed by the others, and if Ive swapped it away for a FPS one ist not there to do that!

I COULD mount the camera far forward in the 3rd person and lock its position for the First person view, but basically drag an avatar around even though you cant see it. But I bet that would go wrong (sudden views through geometry etc).

Is there a way to USE both?  OR use the 3rd person controller but hidden somehow (Camera layers or something)?

Ideas?
