vector art, pixel art confusion
« on: September 27, 2013, 06:16:54 PM »
Hi all,

Sorry for the ignorance of this post but I am so utterly confused. I have determined that Unity/Playmaker is the best route for me to go in my pursuit of making my first simple game. I am confused as to how I would employ Vector graphics in my game assets. I.E what if I wanted a pixel based character with a vector based back ground. Any insights on this.

                           Thankyou  Poopsterspappy

You should probably take a look at a 2d package to help you with the pixel/sprite handling (though if you have plenty of time you can do without), see which have PM support ATM : https://hutonggames.fogbugz.com/default.asp?W714

For the vector background; depends how detailed and what purpose, two come to mind that cover the different aspects of the vector gamut: Vectrosity and RageSpline/tools.
