Creating GUI for movement and information drop downs
« on: November 14, 2013, 08:58:47 AM »
Hi,

I am new to PlayMaker.  I need to learn how to build movement and viewing controls for an ipad.  In addition, I would like to have icons/buttons pop up in certain areas of levels allowing the user to click on them to see text base information.  Also having an icon/button that can take the user to a certain area of level without having to walk there.  The output of this will be for the ipad.

Here are some examples that visualize what I am trying to do.

Can I achieve this interactivity using PlayMaker GUI?  How should I go about doing so if I can?

Thank you,
Greg

You should be able to, My friend as made some really awesome things, movement wise to. He just uses Playmaker GUI, while I use NGUI and I can get most of what was in that video. The other parts I just havent needed to do.

I guess how you tackle it would depend on your skills are with Playmaker. Im not really good with its GUI so I use NGUI to handle all my UI. Making buttons that take you places, show data is pretty simple.

I havent seen much you cant do with playmaker.
