Anyone know how to purchase another copy of Playmaker with the same account on unity3d.com with the purpose of distributing to a partner?

 it's now!

Distributing for partner is not really a good option, instead wire him the money ( paypal or else)  so that that person gets it with his/her own account and benefit from updates over time.

You can buy multiple copies by going to asset store, then clicking on your account and then going to licenses, all licenses that are associated with your account are listed there. You can buy another copy from here.

PS: I'm not sure about the legality issue.
