Using a key on a certain gameObject
« on: February 05, 2014, 06:54:15 AM »
Hi all,

Im very new to this visual scripting stuff and im just playing around with a FPS scene trying to interact with objects and other stuff.

At the moment i have renamed a cube to "LightSwitch" and would like to be able to detect when the player has the object centred in view and press the "E" key to activate it, which will obviously change a lights intensity from 0 - 2.

Im really not too sure on how to start this for detecting the object in view.
I have a basic FSM setup that lets me turn a light on using 'Mouse Pick' action but this will allow me to click anywhere i am in the scene.

Any help on this would be much appreciated!
Thank You.

You can use the Layer Mask to control what you can interact with using Mouse Pick.
