Moving joints

I would like to make a helicopter with a rope attached. I connected some capsules  with spring joint and it rotates great but when I try to move the helicopter the rope stays in place. How do I make these joints move??

I finally found out how to make it move! I made a tutorial for anyone else that might be interested in how this is achieved.
