Made this a sticky. The Skype Group has several people now and some nice discussions have come out of it. The 'live' aspect of the group is great, looking forward to seeing more people join in and watching it grow =)

Just add me on Skype and I'll put you in the group.

Unity's Bar and Grill is a bit overactive for me to keep up with. Hopefully I can be more helpful in the PlayMaker chat.  :D

maybe add a chatroom would be better?

for example something like this : http://www.everywherechat.com/

i do not like to use skype anymore since Microsoft ruined it.

or an irc channel but chatroom would be very easy to access for newbies :)

The Skype group is being out grown so so we're moving to Jabbr web-based irc chat. Sign in can be through your Jabbr account or through other social media.

You can connect to the Jabbr channel here:
https://jabbr.net/#/rooms/PlayMakerDev

The Skype group was nice, but its cumbersome to add users and is often an inconvenience with chat alerts.

Jabbr has a lot of rich chat features like dragging images directly into the browser, intuitive quote recognition from various sites, pasting with code formatting, room ownership and moderation features, user lists, etc...

It is much more approachable than Skype and more convenient for everyone. We'll dissolve the Skype group soon, so please migrate to Jabbr if you are interested in the PlayMakerDev chat.

I think we should go back to skype. After moving to Jabbr the count went down to maybe 5 online. I think people find Jabbr more tedious, as you need to create and account and remember to log in, where as Skype you are often logged into for other reasons than playmaker help.

You can log in to Jabbr with your Twitter or Facebook in a couple of clicks.

Skype had ~40 idle users, but only about 4 people who communicated regularly. It's roughly the same in Jabbr but with a few differences: Less inactive users idling in the background, no alerts on your Skype account when something is written, zero maintenance, better user privacy, no need to manually add users and a bunch of chat oriented advantages.

Objectively, Jabbr is a better platform overall for this.
