Share New Actions / Select Random Float
« on: October 02, 2017, 09:56:56 AM »
Hello,

I could not find an action to select a random float, so here is one ready to go! Useful for selecting floats after being randomly generated with the random float action. It is a modified version of the select random string official action.

Thanks!

Playmaker Help / Call Method from Instantiated Object[SOLVED]
« on: January 04, 2017, 10:10:52 AM »
Hello,

Simple, or not so simple, question. Haha. How do I go about using the 'Call Method' action with an instantiated player object? I am currently using 'Get Component' and storing vp_FPController as an Object variable and using that in the call method action, but none of the properties show up. They do show up at runtime, but obviously no way to set them at that point. I guess that makes sense, but how do I get around this?

Thanks!

Playmaker Help / Array to UI Elements
« on: December 30, 2016, 10:04:33 PM »
Hello!

I hope everyone is doing well! A loaded question, if you will entertain me.

So, I am using ORK Framework as my RPG backend and have ORK Playmaker actions. I am attempting to completely use a custom UI. My problem at the moment is populating lists of items, I guess either from an array or hashtable, to UI elements such as individual buttons per item or just a plain list. What's the most straightforward way of accomplishing this? Right now I have ORK items from it's database being dumped to a string, which is then converted to an array, which will display the correct count (for testing purposes) when using array length. Now I'm a little stuck as to where to go from here. The ultimate goal is to have these lists/buttons and have them interact-able with ORK in regards to equipping, dropping, etc. Any help or guidance is appreciated!

Playmaker Help / Switching player prefabs
« on: August 10, 2016, 08:03:54 PM »
Hello all! New to the community and happy to be here. Still somewhat of a noob on scripting in general, but learning more everyday and loving it. Anyway, on to the question.

So, assuming my main player prefab is already loaded, please advise on the following. Think of this as a minigame where you switch cameras and perhaps alter controls for different gameplay.
1. Save current position to come back to.
2. Instantiate a new player prefab with different controls and camera.
3. Complete minigame
4. Return to original player setup.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
