I downloaded the uGui actions and samples, I watched the video from Wiki. The simplest task seems impossible to do now...

I see that all other GUI elements working fine -- Sliders, Buttons, Scrollbars, ect ...but how do I change a simple text now with this new scheme?  The text element  shows an error once I attach the PlayMakerUGuiComponentProxy script  (it warns that it is " not a valid UIcomponent")

How do I make a simple text a "Valid UI component", so I can make this text as dynamic as it is shown in the sample? (Where the text below the slider shows the result of changing values).

I don't want any buttons or any other "GUI elements" just the text...

Playmaker Help / Animating CAMERA.RECT[SOLVED]
« on: March 16, 2014, 01:36:33 PM »
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to animate the rectangles of of multiple cameras that share a single screen. I know how to do it as a static setup, but I would like to animate the way the screen is divided.

I've attached two images, let's say I'd like to transition from one layout to another  when certain action is triggered... Is there a way to do this with PlayMaker?

I was looking for any action related to camera's Viewport Rect settings, but could not find it anywhere...

Any suggestions?

Playmaker Bug Reporting / System language action Android bug[SOLVED]
« on: January 19, 2014, 09:14:09 AM »
I have and older version and a new version of my game on my Android device. The older version detects the system language, the newer does not. (It returns "unknown" string)

This happens on Android. The preview on the computer shows correct ("English" string). So there must be something that just happened lately...

Playmaker Help / int to "long" variable
« on: January 12, 2014, 06:42:19 PM »
I am trying to pass my score as an int variable from Playmaker to a Game Circle  script from amazon. The problem I am running into is that their "scoreValue" variable is set as "long"...
long scoreValue = 0;

From my reading, it seems that LONG is a type of INT... However, my Send Event action with Method "scoreValue" and INT as a type of variable doesn't seem to pass my values. Since there is no way to use LONG in Playmaker, is there another way to go around it?

Action Requests / Amazon GameCircle support
« on: January 08, 2014, 10:59:11 AM »
Is there any chance for support of Amazon GameCircle? Actions for setting it up and adding scores to Leader boards or posting Achievements plus being able to save game data to the cloud?

It works with Android and iOS...

User Showcase / OOmba Taps -- mini game
« on: October 27, 2013, 05:12:50 PM »
I am planning to release this mini game for iOS and Android. It uses Mechanim and Playmaker. The whole background is a Skybox. OOmba Taps will be free and serve only as an advertising conduit for Spheroku.

Not much brain usage here, just quick fingers... The music as usual composed and recorded by my daughter Alexandra. (If anybody anybody has music gigs, she is freelancing as a performer and composer http://www.alexbodytko.com/).

Here is the mini game:

General Discussion / Go to app store action?
« on: October 26, 2013, 02:50:11 PM »
Is there an action (or some other way) that would send the user to the app store to install another game? I have a mini game I would like to release for the purpose of helping my other app's distribution -- I don't really want to serve other ads -- just my own... How would I do that?

Playmaker Help / Localization / multiple languages
« on: October 09, 2013, 03:09:23 PM »
I wonder if anybody has a good advice about how to create other language versions of an App that was created with Playmaker...

I found Jean's "Application System Language" action and tested it on my system -- The inspector showed my string variable as "English". I can imagine that I can change the text content by comparing strings against this variable... Is this the best way to go about creating multi-language version of an app? If so, can anybody point me out to a source where I can find the official names for each system language on iOS and Android?

User Showcase / Introducing Spheroku(TM)
« on: July 16, 2013, 06:46:26 AM »
I want to introduce a new way to play sudoku that very soon will be available on iTunes and GooglePlay for iPhone, iPads and Android smartphones and tablets.

We are racing with time to finish the app and get it out to the world. The release date will soon be announced, but hopefully it will be in the next few weeks.

This is unlike any other implementation of sudoku out there.

1) it uses colors instead of numbers
2) the classic size 9x9x9 grid is wrapped around a sphere. The wrapping is the same style as the maps of the earth on the globe.

Here are additional consequences related to this implementation:

a) you never see the whole game grid all at once
b) you rotate the Spheroku in every direction by touch with the tip of your finger.
c) the colors are selected and placed by touch.
d) top and bottom are interchangeable
e) horizontal grids don't have defined left and right sides but are complete loops.
f) the cells are not the same size but are defined by non-euclidean geometry.

Some people say it reminds them of Rubic's Cube, but unlike the cube, you can never "learn the solution" and every game is different.

The concept started with simple questions -- What if the numbers were colors instead -- would it be easier or more difficult to get the answers? Then other questions followed and we ended with this wonderful new experience of the old classic... Warning: This game is even more addictive then the original grid-number based that has turned millions into sudoku junkies.

The Patent Is pending. More info will be coming soon. Please help us to spread the word around. Use the link on the website to try the webplayer demo.

Playmaker Help / 0+1=2?!
« on: July 03, 2013, 07:06:28 AM »
I am running into a strange issue. Not sure if it is a bug, or I got this wrong in my head...

I have thee Actions:

1) Get FSM Int (OtherInt variable from another FSM which I save to an int variable MyInt)

2) Int Add (add 1 to MyInt)

3) Set FSM Int (Variable name: OtherInt  Set Value: MyInt)

When I start, OtherInt typically is 0 -- this is also what it shows when I disable IntAd. However I never get 1 as a result of adding 1 to zero -- the OtherInt always shows 2 in the inspector...

Is it a bug or am I wrong in my logic?
