Action Requests / Play Sound (with a delay)
« on: September 30, 2017, 03:30:33 PM »
Super random sorry, but I was just thinking it would be convenient to have the PLAY SOUND action come with a delay if possible ?

Sometimes you need the sound clip to start in that state, that, say is 2 seconds long but you need the .5 audio clip to start at like .75 seconds or something like that. That was a specific example lol

Im just asking for a friend ...

Playmaker Help / too many Int Switches ?
« on: July 05, 2017, 07:03:23 PM »
Hello :)

May I ask, if you have a character with say 6 FSMS on them and each one has an INT SWITCH that connects to a 100 different states that load different stuff.

Is this going to cause the LOAD times to increase ? I feel like that is the situation that I am in right now, and was wondering if anyone has an idea on how I can get around this ? If there is a better method maybe ?

TY in advance :)

Playmaker Help / Action from script...
« on: July 04, 2017, 02:27:41 PM »
Hello fellow Playamakers and 4th of July,

May I ask for help from anyone whos good at making actions for scripts... I am using KRIPTO effects!/content/67803

And he has a small guide on how to apply or update at run-time. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me make actions for these...

Here is hes small guide:

For creating effect in runtime, just use follow code:

var currentInstance = Instantiate(Effect, position, new Quaternion()) as GameObject;
var psUpdater = currentInstance.GetComponent<PSMeshRendererUpdater>();

You can change scale of effect using tranform scale of gameObject.

Thank you s much in advance. I have so much on my plate right now with this game, and have recently had to make MAJOR changes for the sake of optimizations which is where im at right now with all these things like re-doing the FX :D

Playmaker Help / Triggers, send events on PS4 SOLVED
« on: December 21, 2016, 12:57:01 PM »

If anyone has any experience working on the PS4 do you know why my triggers are not working ?

I am moving a simple character using translate and when the hit box touches the other one it should send an event and tell it to stop. This works fine on the editor when testing on my PC but when testing on the PS4 it just goes through ?

Any thoughts ?

User Showcase / i99
« on: July 22, 2015, 11:38:10 AM »
Hey whats up everyone thanx for checking out my new game. This is the biggest game ive ever made, and the loooooooongest ive ever worked on a game lol (I think you guys can relate) so I am happy to have finished it, and hope you dig it. I really wanted to create a game that was a mixture between Little Big planet and Ratchet and Clank but with a crazy story line (Which if you ever beat i99 you will understand).

Help save Professor P.G., CEO and owner of the Orange Co. and inventor of the iBot, from A.I.A., A Malfunctioning artificial intelligence who is hell bent on keeping the Professor from completing he's latest project the "I-100"...

- To Bring the MENU up SWIPE DOWN to bring i99 Health Bar Down (Top Left corner) and than PRESS on it!
- To move to the RIGHT press and hold the Bottom RIGHT side of the screen.
- To move to the LEFT press and hold the Bottom LEFT side of the screen.
- To JUMP Swipe UP!
- SWIPE to the LEFT or RIGHT to dash.
- SWIPE to the LEFT or RIGHT while in the AIR to SIDE JUMP.
- SWIPE to the LEFT or RIGHT while in the AIR after getting hit!

(When on an accelerator-belt, i99 will automatically run)

- Tap on the SCREEN to JUMP. The longer you hold the LONGER The JUMP.
- You can also DASH to the RIGHT by SWIPING to the RIGHT while in mid air!

Play the ULTIMATE 2.5D Sci-fi Action Adventure game for the iPad AIR "i99"

- HD Graphics optimized for the iPad AIR and iPad AIR 2 (older models may experience frame drops)
- NO IN APP purchases of any kind!
- Discover an amazing story line filled with unique quarks and interesting twists!
- Help save the professor from A.I.A. the on-board computer who is malfunctioning ?!?
- Play as i99 a custom build iBOT created by Professor P.G. of the Orange Cooperation...
- Collect Orange Credits and unlock cool new customization Items for your iBot!

You are the Professor's only hope... For whatever reason A.I.A. the onboard computer system has decided to lock Professor P.G. in he's room and shut down, effective immediately, the production of the I-100 ?!

What could have caused A.I.A. to do this ?

Since A.I.A has full control of the Professors Space Mansion the only chance he has was to activate he's custom build i99, the only iBot that has been weaponized and given an independent A.I. circuitry and an independent transmission module, thus preventing A.I.A. from Hacking into he's system!

Now you must battle every DROID on board and make your way to A.I.A.'s main circuit generator in order to preform a manual reboot and Shut her down!

Can you save the professor and stop A.I.A. and her Army of Droids ??!

Extra Features:

- Use the "Onsite Teleporter" in the MENU options to teleport i99 to the begging of the LEVEL!

Here is some gameplay (Sorry for the bad crop)

iOS Help / Pause Issues ? (SOLVED)
« on: June 25, 2015, 01:02:05 PM »
Hello Playmaker :D

I am trying to make a pause menu (UNITY5) and so when the menu is DOWN I set the scale time to 0 n order to pause the game, and when the menu closes/ goes up, the scale returns to 100 - but than my character gets stuck in hes place. The buttons and animation still work, but he can move from that spot ?

Thoughts ?

(Sorry my bad I was setting up time to be 100 instead of 1) :|

Playmaker Help / Making a CAMERA for a 3D figthing game ?
« on: June 06, 2015, 12:11:00 PM »
Does anyone have any tips for me on how to create a Camera for a 3D fighter ?

Ill take anything :)

So I posted this question in UNITYs forums and I got a response from a very nice gentleman who seems like he really knew whats up, And I was wondering if someone can help me interpret what he said in PlayMaker Talk... I do understand what he is saying but I wouldn't mind having some input from PM community :D

Here is hes response:

Create a script with a reference to both characters transforms and then finds the correct position every frame (in the Update method)

Lets assume the character references are called charA and charB.

First find the average position of the two characters (the position between them).
Vector3 middle = (charA.transform.position + charB.transform.position) / 2f;

Now find a direction perpendicular to the vector between the characters and also perpendicular to "up".
Vector3 betweenVector = charB.transform.position - charA.transform.position;
Vector3 perpendicular = Vector3.Cross(betweenVector, Vector3.up);

Move the "middle" position out along the perpendicular vector, and a bit up aswell
Vector3 targetCamPosition = middle + perpendicular * distance + Vector3.up * upDistance;

Now, to make things a bit smooth, don't move the camera directly to that position every frame, instead Lerp towards it.
camTransform.position = Vector3.Lerp(camTransform.position, targetCamPosition, Time.deltaTime * snappyness);

Finally, make the camera look at "middle"

Here's an implementation of this I whipped together:

using UnityEngine;
using System.Collections;

public class Fighter3DCamera : MonoBehaviour
public GameObject charA, charB;
public float distance = 1f;
public float upDistance = 1f;
public float snappyness = 5f;

public Transform camTransform;

// Update is called once per frame
void Update ()
Vector3 middle = (charA.transform.position + charB.transform.position) / 2f;

Vector3 betweenVector = charB.transform.position - charA.transform.position;
Vector3 perpendicular = Vector3.Cross(betweenVector, Vector3.up);

Vector3 targetCamPosition = middle + perpendicular * distance + Vector3.up * upDistance;

camTransform.position = Vector3.Lerp(camTransform.position, targetCamPosition, Time.deltaTime * snappyness);

Hello fellow PLAYMAKER Developers and Thank You so much for taking the time to check out my NEW Game

In the year 2480 a planet named “Earth 39” was attacked by an unknown invader.These strange space dwelling aliens seem to be without reason or compassion. They did not display the ability to communicate and thus are considered nothing more than over-sized single cell organisms with one agenda, to eat!

They feed on a planets ozone layer until nothing is left, leaving it defenseless to cosmic radiation and ultra violet rays. The results are floods, hurricanes and ultimately the destruction of all life on the planet!

The government immediately took action and assembled the largest fleet of Space fighters ever created. Worlds that were once at WAR had now put their differences aside for the sake of eliminating this new and dangerous threat.

Shield generators had been placed around all planets with a level 4 ozone layer, but even those eventually gave-out. No matter how many were destroyed more kept coming. As an act of desperation, The United Federation of Planets decided to send a small team of the most elite fighters to try and find the aliens home world. Squad D would do the impossible, track down the aliens origins and destroy them at the source.

No one knew where they came from, but a small group of scientists from Terra Outpost 17 believe they came from a part of the universe Labeled "Galaxy-X"
