Hi Guys,

I just released a personal game called 'Catball Bounce'. I created the game in Unity using Playmaker. It would be awesome to get some feedback! :) If you have 5 minutes to play it that would be great!

Playmaker Help / Physics-based drop into water

What would be the best way using Playmaker to have a block fall into water and have it float up and down based on its velocity?

Playmaker Help / Collectables System[SOLVED]
« on: May 11, 2014, 02:59:28 AM »

I am making a game where you can collect 3 stars on each level and after each level I want it to send this amount to the appropriate level's global variable. I could set on each level a manual FSM where I type in all the variables names but surely there is a way I can do it dynamically so I only need one FSM that will work out which level they are on and update the correct global variable with the current number of stars.

I can't seem to work this out without doing it all manually which isn't very dynamic and would take a long time.

Any suggestions on how you would do this?

Playmaker Help / Get Level Num?
« on: May 09, 2014, 07:51:37 AM »

Is there a way to get the level number and store it as a variable. I know you can load level by number but I haven't found a way to get the level number.

Playmaker Help / PLAYMAKER / NGUI OnMouseUp
« on: May 06, 2014, 01:03:31 PM »

I'm trying to replace my current GUI with NGUI and I need to detect when the mouse is up. I've used the NGUI / ON PRESS function but how do I detect when the mouse is no longer down?

I've read its something to do with the OnPress(false) but is there an example someone can give me as I'm pretty new to NGUI.

Playmaker Help / Arraymaker across Multiple Scenes
« on: May 05, 2014, 06:27:09 AM »

I'm trying to set up an array that will hold how many stars the player has collected for each level. Are there any basic tutorials or suggestions you can give me for how to set up an array that I can access across multiple scenes.

So when the player completes a level, it will add the amount of stars collected to the array under the appropriate variable.

I'm pretty new to using arrays, I had it working so I could access variable values on one scene but I'm confused how to do the same across multiple scenes.

Playmaker Help / Use String value as the variables name
« on: May 02, 2014, 12:38:36 PM »

I currently build a string value created from the scene name and the text 'stars' so it would be for example "Level001Stars" on Level001

I'd like to use this string as a variables name so if I want to set an int variables value for that level it would set the int named "Level001Stars" to 1, 2 or 3.

This is to make it automated so I can use that functionality on every level and not have to set the int's name manually. It would automatically generate it from the levels name.

Is this possible?

User Showcase / Ludum Dare 29 - DEEPER
« on: April 28, 2014, 05:28:04 AM »
I made an entry for Ludum Dare 29 this weekend using Unity and Playmaker. The game took me around 16 hours total to make. There was a lot more I wanted to do with it but didn't get time.

If you'd like to play / rate it go here :)

Let me know if you get to the end.

Playmaker Help / Rigidbody 2D face direction it is travelling.
« on: March 24, 2014, 01:45:43 PM »

Currently I set the velocity of my character at the beginning of the level and then let physics do the rest as it rolls down ramps and whatnot. Is there a way to make sure it always faces the direction it is travelling.

It is a 2D game so only needs to look left or right.
