Tobbe

Wrote a review since I've been using Playmaker since its release!

Very Nice!  Where did you  post your review?  We'd love to read it.  If you can, could you also post it on our reviews thread?  http://hutonggames.com/playmakerforum/index.php?board=22.0

You'll be the first review!  Thanks so much for checking 1.1 out!   :D :D :D

Bilby did you post this in our showcase section??  and thank you for liking us!  :-)

Not my work to showcase :)  There were for  a while there regular challenges and game prototypes put up on Lost Garden.  I'm implementing the idea, and possibly extending it.  But the article there and the original game concept aren't mine.

When you do implement the idea, we'd love to see your version of it! :-)

Elvis:  Yes, Playmaker has grown past beta stage and is now a proper incarnation of itself. We couldn't hold it back any longer, but now it can grow!

Danny! We look forward to our forum/Playmaker growth as well! I'm thinking like weeds, not bad weeds mind you, growth like nice hearty weeds, think dandelions!

Pleasuremaker thanks again for the lovely comments!

Billwaa: sadly we don't have a student edition... yet, man yet! ;-) Hopefully you can check out what folks are saying about it and see what they're making and get a sense on whether Playmaker is for you. (I'm thinking it is... but I am biased  ;)

Note that my post should have been in the introduce yourself forum.  I got it wrong.  Somehow.

And I'm trying to implement this game:

And to return to the topic of this thread.... liked!

Hi, I'm a programmer just converting to the school of node based awsome.

Loving playmaker so far, making my first game in it.  Already created two custom actions, one to get the velocity vector from the character controller, and one to get the magnitude of a vector (and thus the speed of a character based on the velocity vector of the character controller).  Will be posting both actions up here in just a moment.  (and if any of those exist, please tell me)

Everything is looking good so far, but I would suggest a forum section where custom actions can be posted, commented on and improved.

Here's to lots of open sharing.  We can make each other stronger!

Great idea on the new forum section Bilby! Please make sure to report back on your game progress!  Let me get on that section now...

Forum Suggestions / Re: Faster Forum Server(s)/Connection
« on: March 29, 2011, 06:57:42 PM »
HellO!

Thanks for the suggestion, yes... this forum is rather slow, and we are hosting it off-site.  Right now we're focused on rebuilding the website and getting the release out but we do want this forum to be a grinding experience!   Actually if you or anyone had suggestions for some faster hosting options we would really appreciate it so when we migrate we have some speedy options lined up!!

Thanks again!
