Hack solution: Create another new Gameobject which you save into that variable, and then destroy it.

There should be "Character Motor" script on your FPC, which has check button for "Can Control". If you uncheck that are you able to move your character in the game?

(I don't have much experience with FPC)

How I make a check if a Joint is connected to rigidbody? For example in a collision strong enough, a object breaks from its joint and I would like to get that information to my FSM?

Yes, I am also noob with Unity own GUI system. I went directly to text mesh :D Maybe the answer is there, I hope..

What shader are you using? If it has slider for alpha transparency or cutout, can you access that data with "Set Property" action? With that action you can change the transparency value, which I believe is float.

It depends how you have set up your player controller. You should have option for freezing all unwanted movements of player while in your GUI event. Mouse cursor should still be moving freely.

I would go with the variable, because it most likely wont get broken. Nowadays I try to save everything into variables, because in past I've noticed that sometimes fields with dragged objects go empty.

Yes that seems to work, but is there any way of getting rid of the GUI element because I would like to use only text mesh?

Also seems like you have to click the field to activate it  :-\

Okay I must be complete noob for not figuring this out... But how do you allow player to type text or numbers and save it to a PM variable?

I am not sure but have you tries "Wait" action if it does the job by placing it between the actions?
