Touch Object not working?

Hey all,

So I've finally started using PM after watching a tutorial on using Touch Object. I can't seem to get it to work in Windows, does it only work if compiled to a device?

I created a brand new project, and followed the steps from the tutorial... I know I have it correctly set up & my MainCamera is tagged ok.

OK so more testing reveals that it does indeed need to be built, it won't work through testing "play". Is this by design?
