FINISHED event marked as global
« on: April 12, 2016, 10:35:32 AM »
Somehow the system FINISHED event has become set to global and I can't uncheck it or delete it or do anything with it in the global events manager. Is there a way to fix this, and could its being global cause problems? (I'm only using it in the normal way - as ordinary transitions.)

Hey Dude,

Have you tried using the playmaker event window?

That should allow you to uncheck the global option from there. I don't think you can delete the event though as its part of playmaker base stuff.

Thanks for answering - No, the same problem exists in the event browser. FINISHED is checked as global and greyed, so it can't be changed. So is COLLISION ENTER, I've just noticed. I just need to know if this might cause problems and, if so, what might be done. Edit: I also noticed that all the system 2D events - TRIGGER ENTER 2D etc. - are also marked global, but these are not greyed. So now I'm wondering whether or not I should uncheck them.

I'm curious how this happened, but it should be fine. The global flag really only filters the UI so it shows relevant events when you send events to another FSM, broadcast an event etc. It doesn't change the behaviour of the event.

Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know. (No idea how it happened btw.)
