First Level of Sky Slabs - made completely with Playmaker.
« on: July 27, 2012, 01:41:30 PM »
Hey guys,

I wanted to show you where I am with my latest mobile game, so I uploaded a web player version even though I have no plans to release it on the PC/Web.

At the moment the game is further along than this, with swipe control instead of the joystick. As it stands the game is REALLY hard.  ;D

Enjoy!

That is insanely hard, I couldn't even get to the first elevator.

Yeah it doesn't work well with the joystick control.  :D

How did you arrange your movement scripts on the ball?

It feels like it carries so much weight and the physics based style is cool. I'm curious how that functions in the PlayMaker tool set, which actions, etc.

Thanks, the basis of the movement is the add torque action.  ;)

Nice start. The weight feels good, but play is too frustrating. The tiles are really small, potentially unnecessarily. You could increase the size by a third, and it would still be a challenge.  Good luck!

brendang, thanks for your feedback. I am working on making it more playable.  :)

Andrew_Raphael_Lukasik, the joystick wasn't done in playmaker, it was done with NGUI and playmaker just reads the joystick position with a simple get property action.  :)

There's a difference between good hard.. and frustrating hard. This is frustrating hard.
