This FSM makes the attached character follow a moving object tagged “Path.”

However, when the character with this FSM enters the player’s field of view, it stops following the object and instead moves back toward its original position. Why does this happen?
Is this behavior caused by the specifications or a bug in the NavMesh actions such as NavMesh Sample Position or Set Agent Destination?
The Unity version is 6.3.
