HBDNotch!
« on: June 01, 2011, 01:28:21 PM »
Today's @notch's birthday, and I put together a little World 1-1 replica to celebrate. Other than the following, the entirety of this project was done in PlayMaker. Exceptions:

  • code to generate the level (which yes, I actually did in PlayMaker's built-in actions first)
  • custom action to set the text on a TextMesh
  • (very) slightly modified Unity3D platformer control script

Nice, I captured the soundtrack by selecting 'stereo mix' on my
Realtek 97 control panel, you made this for your child?

I'm pretty sure I can link an MP3 of the song if you'd like, and I'm sure the song's author (Blake Peachey) would love to know that it was enjoyed.

And no, this was made for Notch (Markus Persson), the creator and main developer of Minecraft.

Thanks guys! I'm just glad that it can be seen by someone. ;)  Sadly, the intended recipient's not seen it that I know of.
