"This variable is used"
« on: June 29, 2013, 09:10:06 AM »
I just created a global variable. A few seconds later having done nothng with it, I try and delete it but get a warning "this variable is used, are you sure you want to delete it".
It's not used. The page clearly says "Used: 0".

Can you submit a bug report so we get version info etc.

Main Menu > PlayMaker > Tools > Submit Bug Report

Thanks!

The problem there is I have no way of tracking the state of bug report.

Unity Version: 4.1.5f1
Playmaker Version: 1.6.1.f4

Also - this seems odd given you have a forum explicitly for bug reporting.

We updated the bug report tool a while back so you should get a confirmation email with a link to the bug...

Also - this seems odd given you have a forum explicitly for bug reporting.

The forum pre-dates the bug reporter, but they're still both useful. The forum lets other people who might have the same problem add more info. The bug reporter gives us detailed info on Playmaker/Unity so we don't need to ask for it every time. It also lets us track/schedule the bug fix!

When we ask someone to submit a bug report it's just to get more info - we're not  saying "don't use the forum" :) Sorry if it came across that way!
