make compass rotate
« on: April 20, 2013, 04:51:07 PM »
I have a compass, it is going to be the compass, weather, time, and danger sensor.

The compass is a perfect circle png underneath the main compass body.

how do I make the compass only rotate when I change direction using playmaker?

i just need to know how to set compass which is a separate graphic, under the shell.

Hi,

do you mean, using the actual device gyro? or just how to compose this graphically?

the actual device gyro.

this image is made of three layers.

I just want the n, ne, s, sw graphic to rotate to a predetermined north.

I set north as a empty game object but cant get the texture to move.

Hi,

I am currently working on a project involving the use of gyro and acceleration, this action is still a work in progress, so play with this and see if it does what you want.

check the attitude properties, they are the raw angles of the device, that's your indication of the orientation of the device using the internal compass of the device.

 Bye,

 Jean
