Do you have a working sample using what you need as current state info? currently ( in the demo I created for PlayMaker), it was done in the same way as it was scripted by the Unity guys. I know it sounds odd, but I don't have any other examples to extrapolate on how to expose these values.
so I need to have a concrete working example of an mecanim setup, then I'll explain how to get to this or create an action to solve this.
