Action Browser not visible [SOLVED]
« on: May 07, 2018, 12:03:13 PM »
The Action Browser has disappeared and I can't figure out how to access it. I have Playmaker 1.8.9.f1 installed and am attempting to follow tutorials.

I am aware of the following post
http://hutonggames.com/playmakerforum/index.php?topic=14137.msg71250#msg71250

but it doesn't solve my problem. I tried reinstalling. The prior post also suggests "Basically, when this happens, start again, and uncheck the "Preview" check box in the action browser, this will prevent rendering the actions, and you won't get this anymore, however it would be good to find exactly which action is giving problem."

I am not sure how to follow that instruction since I can't open the Action Browser in the first place. I would appreciate any help. Thanks much.

Maybe you accidentally moved the Action Browser out of the screen?
Do you use Mac or Windows?
Did you try to check behind the Start bar?

Hi Bipolar.

I'm using a PC with W10. I think you're right in saying I might have moved it off screen because it was initially visible and disappeared after I tried to reposition it. Unfortunately, now I can't seem to get it back and it isn't under any of the other windows or the Start/Taskbar.

Did you already try to search on Google if there's a generic metod to reset the windows' position?

That's a good suggestion, but no luck. They recommend cascading windows, but unfortunately Action Browser is not among the windows that appear in the taskbar - whether on or off the screen.

Mmh... I never had a problem like this, sorry.
I use two screens, one for unity and the other one for Playmaker, so I never met this problem, Unfortunately I don't know how to help you. :\

I should try as last chance to installing another version, so maybe the windows position will reset itself.

Have you got a two-screen setup? If so disconnect the 2nd screen and the action browser will pop back into your main window.
This happened to me.
