Creating patches/updating content
« on: September 16, 2018, 06:08:47 AM »
Hi,

I'm thinking about making a game with episodic content. My question is: Is there a way to install the updates or patches in an incremental way, rather than downloading the whole game again and again?

Thanks!

I have tried some ready made patcher/updater assets (most of them was an opensource GitHub projects) and was not succeed. So, I'm subscribing to comments to check if someone have positive experience with updating.

PS. I believe it's more like a "Unity question" rather than a "playmaker help".

Hi,

have you tried the updater/patchers systems on the asset store?

 Bye,

Thanks! I'm not sure what key word I used during my original searching but with "updater" or "patchers" I got a few interesting options. Can I assume playmaker should work just fine if I release episodic content using one of those tools? (I'm a total noob using those methods)
