Action to change GUI font? [SOLVED]
« on: February 22, 2019, 02:33:46 AM »
I'm using the GUI actions and I want my game to be scale-able according to screen size and GUI Skin's have a custom font option, however it only has a fixed number font. I was wondering if there was an action like "Set GUI Font" and you can type in a number or use a variable. Much preferably a variable because that way I can manipulate it to scale the way I'd like it to. (Also have an "Every Frame" option please).

Hi.
Gui is outdated, you should look into canvas/ui and or Textmesh pro which is free now and included in the packages (see window/package manager)

To set the Font on you can get the Package "Ugui Proxy Full" on the Ecosystem

I figured that might be the case. Thanks. I installed a TextMesh Pro actions set so I think I'll be able to do what I'm trying to do.

Thank you very much, the installation of TextMesh Pro helped me personally. I'm new to creating games so there are a lot of questions about it every day. A friend a month ago advised me to use playmaker so that I could create games faster without knowing c#. I wanted to change the standard fonts to those that are more suitable for games and this one https://upfonts.com/smash-bros-font/ I liked it the most for my 2d game. So I hope that I will quickly be able to understand all this and implement at least most of my ideas that could be of interest to other people.

the font might have 'Rights' on it so best to check that out, not to get involved with lawsuits.
