I am using Cinemachine for my camera and it has something called noise and it can produce the shake I am looking for but the issue is I am unable to control it from a playmaker. I was wondering if there was another way I could go about this or if I need to go another route entirely?

Yes, with a tween. You can try the free version of DoTween and grab the DoTween actions too.
If there's not an option for 'shake', you'll have to use a curve for the animation of values on X and Y.
