Set Rotation action not working on canvases

The enemies in my game are sprites with canvases containing a health bar attached to them as children. When the enemy changes direction (by flipping 180 across the y axis) the canvas flips as well which I don't want because the text becomes reversed. I've been trying to flip the canvas alongside the enemy to offset this but set rotation does not seem to work. The rotate action works but does not achieve my desired result. What would be the best way to go about this?

Hi,
 
instead have all your hud on the main canvas UI, there is a sample on the ecosystem on how to track a 3d object and display a text hud over it in the regular screen overlayed canvas.

you could make a look at system that would operate independantly to always look at the camera but you will get skews because of the perspective of the camera.
