Rollout state browser, but by color (essentially state tags)
« on: September 01, 2021, 03:29:48 PM »
When working on graphs, I often use color to sort of 'tag' states, such as:
  • orange for ones I'm working on (WIP)
  • red where there is a bug
  • pink where I save data
  • blue for the 'start' of a logic chain
  • turquoise where I'm playing audio

So often these states are all over the FSM, and because of this, for things like WIP or Bugs it's hard to quickly grasp how much of an effort there is on an FSM outside of zooming way out on the graph and then manually zooming into identified regions.

Though the issue I run into is that for actually organizing the states by their logic use I use the slash workflow in naming (adding slashes in front to nest them) them so I can quickly get to them via the rightclick minimap button.

I'd like to request the ability to see a rollout of states that are organized by their colors accessible from the top bar. I realize there's some weird granular issues with this since individual events can be colorized as well, but overall the ability quickly go through states by their tagged color would really help with overall workflow.

Thanks!
