Global variables: instantiated
« on: December 27, 2021, 06:22:18 AM »
One of the biggest roadblocks against the use of globals is that they cannot be quickly iterated, or more specifically, instantiated on the basis of a model, a source, AKA a template.
For all instances (NPI) and purposes, they're actually very static. Yet globals are the type of FsmVar that can actually be targeted from within FSMs located on instances of Unity prefabs, proving right there the obvious potential for globals to work on a same premise, with template-instance dynamic, and eventually with the possibility of detaching instances to turn them into static (free floating) copies, which would often require a renaming, this also being an ongoing issue, unless it has been corrected in the last version of PM.
