Using Wwise and Playmaker
« on: October 16, 2022, 10:31:08 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm posting this because I am wondering whether anyone is successfully using Wwise with Playmaker? Wwise is incredible middleware software for implementing audio and music. I am actually a film composer and sounder but I am currently studying an MFA in video game audio and music and using Wwise. I was using FMOD but Wwise is just so much better.

You can literally do anything with Wwise and it feels like such a shame not being able to use it with Playmaker. I'm trying to learn how to code in C# but its a long road and actually the reason I am using Playmaker. Playmaker has literally changed my life and given me the ability to actually make games. Just really want to be able to use the best middleware software as well.

Very curious to hear from anyone that looked into this!
Many thanks

Jono

Hi.
I never used neither FMOD not Wwise, but its definitely a good thing to learn C#
as it open up a whole new "level" using Playmaker.

I learn C# thanks to Playmaker.
The time that i started using Playmaker, there where not that many default actions yet.
So i started to look to existing actions, copy paste stuff and then edit then.
and that way i started to learn the basics of C#

i would suggest also to join playmakers Discord channel, many friendly and helpful people are there :)

You can also try to contact Wwise if they are willing to support their asset with playmaker actions.
it will open up a lot of potential buyers for them :)
