Any idea how would I replicate this type of player orbiting?
« on: January 01, 2023, 05:43:06 PM »
I am looking to replicate the way character orbit each other similar to a game called Psychic Force. While on the X axis, they stare straight at each other but when they are above each other, they turn inwards with their heads facing the camera.

Here is the source that I am trying to replicate. See how smooth the turning is for the immobile character? There are no jolts or jitters.

Here is what I have right now. At specific angles like the one towards the end of the video, my character starts to glitch out. The turning is also abrupt and isnt gradual like the source. I am using Smooth Look At with 2 triangles above and below each player that act as triggers. When a player enters that trigger zone, the normal values of smooth look at change but I am not able to make it smooth. When I get too close, everything begins to fall apart.
