Tips for Building to Apple Vision Pro
« on: August 18, 2024, 10:48:07 AM »
I just succesfully completed a visionOS build with Apple Vision Pro simulator as my build target.

Using Playmaker 1.9.8.

In order to Build for Apple Vision Pro with Unity, you need to use Unity's Polyspatial package which is exclusive to Unity Industry and I think Unity Pro subscriptions.

After installing the Polyspatial for VisionOS package (which also auto installs the Polyspatial Package), go to Assets/Plugins/Playmaker and find the Playmaker.dll, and make sure 'AnyPlatform' is checked, or at the very least, make sure VisionOS is checked.

I also had an error with one of PolySpatials built in shaders. Which was annoying, because it was in the packages folder. I just revealed the file in the finder, and deleted it before build. I imagine it will be restored next time I open Unity.
