Can't get tutorials to run - HtmlNotes not recognized
« on: March 20, 2025, 01:20:12 PM »
I'm a noob with both PlayMaker and Unity more generally, so I may be making some basic error, but when I import any of the tutorial packages into an otherwise blank project and try to run them, they all fail with a compile error:

"The type or namespace 'HtmlNotes' could not be found (are you missing a Using directive or an assembly reference?)"

Good question. *Am* I missing a Using directive or an assembly reference? I have no idea.

I created the project as a 2D URP, and using Unity 2022.3.60f1.

What version of PlayMaker are you using?

Whatever I would have downloaded from the Unity store three days ago?

I'll take a look when I'm back at my PC.

Can you also say which tutorial it was? I checked a few of them and they seemed fine. To fix the error look for a PlayMakerNotes component and delete it (it's just for documentation). This component is normally removed before we upload a sample.
