I agree with the OP - we'd love some Wii U support!

Been using Playmaker on iOS and it's fantastic.  We're now working on a Wii U title and Playmaker would be a huge benefit.

Thanks for making a great product!

Hi,

Don't own a license for Wii U, and I am not sure what is the ETA on this,  but what kind of errors do you get?

Bye,

 Jean

The error is:

"PlayMaker: This build platform is not supported.  Please check the Asset Store for Add-Ons..."

This is after importing the NACL version, then deleting Photon and networking actions.

Wii U support on Playmaker roadmap?
« Reply #4 on: February 05, 2014, 12:17:54 PM »
It's been a few months sense I've heard mention of the Wii U, so I just wanted to double check that Wii U support is indeed on the roadmap for Playmaker.  I'm beyond grateful and in awe with everything Playmaker.  I am very, very conscious of appearing pushy with my double checking.  However, the reality is I'm putting quite a bit of effort forth, which would be for naught without eventual Wii U support.  When I originally purchased Playmaker in September 2013, I was told there may be news on Wii U support soon.

We're in the process of registering as Wii U developers, so we hope to have news on that front soon!

Thank you again, the experience with Playmaker is pure magic!
Gratefully and Hopefully,
createasaurus

We just released an update (1.7.7) that removes the version check you ran into. Please try building again and let me know if you get errors...

Hii,

I´am other Wii U developer and i was trying to build some scenes samples downloaded from your web, for test some compatibility with Wii U devkit but i get somes issues. I´ve attached a image with the issues, i have used the last version of playmaker (1.7.7) and i have built with "non-exit" sample scene.

Best regards
Berbelias

Do you have any custom actions? Or actions downloaded from the forums?
Can you click on the first error to see if there are more details?

Hi Alex,

I was looking to integrate Playmaker into my workflow as well but while I am able to get other projects built and running on the Wii U, when I try the No Exits sample I get the same error as the previous entry you had questioned about.

Internal compiler error. See the console log for more information. output was:
Unhandled Exception: System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: The classes in the module cannot be loaded.

Alex, I submitted a ticket that outlined the steps on how to reproduce the error. It's a reflection error so there isn't much for details since it is probably trying to pull something from a DLL.

Thanks for your help. It'd be great to see support for the Wii U.

Are there any news about WiiU support or has anyone managed to build for it yet? I'm getting the same errors as berbelias.

Hi,

For us to support wii U, it's important we get in relation with Nintendo. So contact your nintendo manager and explain him your need for PlayMaker support. You can cc us and redirect communication to me or Alex.

The cost of the development kit if difficult to justify here, and so I think the best way (at least for me currently) to provide proper support would be to get access to a dev kit, knowing that I would not create games, this would be solely to support PlayMaker users.

I have been in touch with nintendo, but I don't think I expressed myself properly, or maybe they don't see why they should send us a dev kit, so the more they know about PlayMaker from you, the better.

Bye,

 Jean

Hi Jean,

I'm writing Nintendo now to explain my need for PlayMaker support.
I will also repost your request in the Wii U forums, so others may see it there.
Thank you so much for the continued Wii U support!

With gratitude,
createasaurus
