Added Custom Actions Don't Appear[SOLVED]
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:39:36 PM »
Hi,

First of all, thanks for your amazing tool, I really have a lot of fun using it!
However, I recently acquired DFGUI, and wanted to add their custom actions. But whatever I do (importing the unitypackage, moving the .cs actions to the original playmaker actions folder), the action browser get greyed out, load, and then works again but no sign of the new actions..

I tried refreshing assets and relaunching Unity in addition to trying thousands different ways to import the actions :x.

Thanks for your help :-)

It should detect the actions no matter where you put them in the hierarchy. Are you sure they aren't in the list? You can filter the action browser by name to search for a specific action.

Again, my problem is that they don't appear in the Action Browser, and I did try by searching them. I see them in my project tho :x

Thats pretty strange... What version of Playmaker are you using - have you tried updating to the latest of both plugins?

Is it only for those actions or have you tried other custom actions and they wont show up? I think its more likely those actions themselves, as playmaker detects the default actions in the same manner it detects custom actions.

Oh ok I got it.. The Custom Actions are not supported in the Student version (as I had to check my version to tell you).

Ok so anyway to help me changing a dfgui label from Playmaker? I would just put a string label, but the label field in dfgui can't be transform to a variable (or maybe I just don't know how to do that).

Thanks a lot for your help!

Ahh okay. I wasn't aware the student version even had that restriction.

I don't use dfgui, so I'm afraid I can't help you there. ;)
