useable computer

heya, i need a system in place similar to the one of Vampire Bloodlines


so a text display with input field, iam not sure how to go about the actual input field and how to position it or how to get it done at all tho, any pointers in the right direction would be great.

If you can wait for the next Unity version, it would be easy-piecy with the new GUI.

There's a useable computer asset in the Unity store I'm going to be buying soon myself: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/18482 - No idea how well it works but from what I can tell it's super cool. :)

cool, iam allready using the 4.6 unity beta and having a blast with those canvas, having a look at that computer asset but in general i like to be able to do things myself for customization purposes

I don't have much experience with UI stuff but I believe the "GUILayout text field" action and the email, and password field ones are designed to let a player input text.
