TextMesh Pro Addon

Hi there,

having bought TextMesh Pro, because of it's superb text quality and possibilities I tried it with Playmaker. Unfortunately only the GUI-part is accessible. I could do it in uscript, but it's too expensive for me and I don't like the long compile times after every change.

So I was hoping that a TMPro-Addon could be created

Hi,

 you should contact TextMeshPro author and see if he's willing to provide PlayMaker support, in which case redirect him to me and we'll take it from there.

I just saw that you have moved this from "Wish List" to "To Do List" Are you going to make actions for TextMesh Pro?

I saw on the asset page to not update from the previous paid version to the new free pro version. So be aware there might be some differences when it comes to the actions/code.

afaik, textmesh pro is going to be standard in Unity, so it might go through major API changes soon

 Not necessary if they want to honor existing projects, If textMesh Pro API is well done, it would be unnecessary to change what works, hopefully...

I am about half done creating the actions for TMP, as it is on the store free now. I will be releasing them soon in one form or another within a week.

It includes 25 separate actions that control virtually every aspect of textmesh pro, including their custom shaders (the best part).

($5 gets you each months action set, $10 gets you that months plus the past months actions set. It is changed at the end of the month. Basically its a way to support ongoing development through monthly support).

I will add it directly to the Unity store, but that could take 1 - 2 months. Its a slooooow process.
