how to use enums

i like to use enums i dont get much information on how to use it.
any explanation on how to use will be helpful any sample scene is appreciated.

Hi,

 What issue did you encounter with the Enum Creator? and what what version of Unity are you using?

 I am running behind on advertising/cleaning up all the cools new things for PlayMaker 1.8, Enum being one of them... :) so yeah, give me some time and I'll go over the Enum Creator, and take that opportunity to explain some good use of enums.

i have downloaded all the files in the folder and added inside the assets folder then i got lot of errors.
then i tried to use some other commit folder and that too have lot of errors while compiling.

i use unity 4.6.6
i prefer to upload actions which need for enum creator here
