Trigger Event: 'Store Collider'? [SOLVED]
« on: July 03, 2017, 07:13:04 PM »
Could anyone explain when and why the 'store collider' field in the 'Wait for Trigger' action could be used or useful?

I'm not 100% clear on what it means.

Thanks all.

Hi,
I can't seem to find the action 'Wait For Trigger'
But i guess it works the same as on a 'Trigger Event' action.

What it does is, it will store the GameObject.

Lets say you have 10 objects, all with a trigger action.
When you collide one of those objects and you want to know which object you hit, then you can use this variable.

You can use a Global variable, or you can use a 'Set Fsm Game Object' action in the next state of the collider and set a variable on (for example) your gamemanager fsm.

Perfectly explained, thanks djaydino :)

And yes, I meant 'Trigger Event'- was pretty late when I wrote the post!
