Make Character go from walk to run with specific controls?
« on: April 12, 2018, 11:25:40 PM »
Goal: Double Tap direction and hold direction button down to trigger player to run.
What is the best way to do so?  Like for it to be playable in a 2.5 area as well as 2D levels.

In the Walking state I could set a vector action and when above input is triggered
I could maybe set some vector to a higher number as well as change animation.

Anyone have a better example they can show?

Thanks

Hi,

There are several options, but in the attachment i have 2 samples.

on the 1st press space to move and double tap to move faster

on the 2nd you can use wasd or arrows.

I will make a video later today.

Hi.
Sorry i did not have enough time to make one today, but i will try to make one in the weekend.

Meanwhile you can just drop in the prefabs in a project and play around with it so you can see how it works and let me know if there are some issues or that you need something different to add or change on it :)
