Audio playing on awake when it shouldn’t...?
« on: September 23, 2018, 09:44:12 PM »
Hello. I’m sort of a beginner, but I’ve been learning quite a bit from all of the forums and YT tutorials. I’m an artist and a storyteller, but honestly coding gives me hives. Anyway, working through my first FPS horror type game and I’ve run into a couple snags. I’ve built a clock tower in the middle of my scene that is set up to chime on the hour with an FSM and collider triggers. Finally got the colliders to work once I put box colliders and rigid bodies on both parts. My only issue: now all of the chimes go off on awake (yes. I have unticked all of the “play-on-awake tabs”.) They also chime when they are suppose to, but I need them NOT to chime UNTIL they are suppose to. Help? As I said, I am relatively new. So if there is a video or forum post that answers this out there... please link. Thank you in advance. PS: I’m running the most recent update of both Playmaker and Unity 2018f.

Unticking the box in the editor 'should' solve the problem.

However. If you dont set a clip, it cannot play anything.  8)

So maybe set the audio clip, just before you play it the first time.
