How to solve slow compile time after adding PM?
« on: March 07, 2020, 05:40:36 AM »
I'm trying out PM but it is doubling my script refresh/compile time. Used to be under 10 secs but now it sometimes take up to 20 secs to add a new script or delete one.

Seems like installing PM added a lot of new script files to the project. Is there any precompile version of PM I can use to avoid this?

Hi,

what version of Unity are you using?

Yes, PlayMaker adds a lot of scripts, these are all the actions. but 10 seconds is already a lot to be honest... do you have lots of sounds or shaders or something in your project?

Bye,

I'm using 2018.4.16f1.

I do not have a lot of sounds or shaders in the project. It is a relatively new project.

Compile generally takes under 10 secs, 6-7, but adding a new file can take longer. With PM added, it takes a lot longer.

Hi,

10 seconds is definitly already a lot, Maybe the editor profiler could tell you where this time is spent?

Bye,
